About me.

I am a daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Above all I am a proud citizen of the United States of American and I love this country; warts and all.

What I am seeing happening to this country today concerns me; and since I am seeing people put their thoughts (some of them inane) into blogs I decided to do the same.

Luckily I have a daughter who is helping me; since while I can program a simple COBOL program the configuration of this process is something I just don’t have the time to learn and with her assistance I also don’t have too.

Lately I have had my children contacting me about their concerns for the future. It’s been hard for me to give them much advice or assistance, because I have a lot of concerns myself. The biggest concern is about their future and mine.

· I have told them to hunker down, hang onto their money, pay their bills, honor their debts.

· I have told them to be careful of banks, credit cards and strangers.

· I know this advice isn’t good for the economy. That we need to spend and spend to make everything work. We also need to have stable jobs to make everything work.

· The promise I have told them to make is “when the government takes care of the one (jobs), we will take care of the other (spending)”.
